Injury feature (quarterbacks)

I don't remember this being mentioned as a new feature, and I've never had it happen to me before. I was playing against the Ravens, down in the 4th quarter by 3 when I ran with my quarterback to keep a drive alive. It was 3rd down and I had been stopped all game so instead of taking the ball out of bounds I tried to run over the safety and ended up injuring my quarterback. My backup can't hit the side of a barn and when the injury information came up it was just a pinched nerve and my starter still had a better OVR so I decided to play him and be extra careful to not let him get hit. Every time I tried to hot route a receiver however my quarterback put both hands on his head as if he had a concussion and refused to do so. Anyone else ever had this or any other injury related features happen?

Never had the problem because I don't play injured players. You risk further injury to the player
