2014 OSFM: Detroit Tigers

Hey Everyone,
It's a wind chill of -35 degrees in Michigan right now and the only thing that's keeping me from going crazy is the upcoming MLB The SHOW 14.

So, it's that time of the year. Time to start gathering info for the Tigers Minor Leagues. I've started a Google Doc to get the ball rolling. I realize that there are a lot players of the list and we won't use all of them.

Hope everyone can pitch in again this year...

I've highlighted players names in BLUE who are likely to be included in the final set. Please provide your feedback on who you feel should be included (at this time).

Also, I forgot to mention earlier, look at the grades and let me know if you feel there should be changes.

I've added an organization chart. I find that it helps me keep track of how many position players I need.

Briceno and Knebel are must adds IMO. So should Harold Castro.

Reina is in the Padres org now.

I'd give some thought to including Javier Betancourt, Steven Fuentes and Joe Jimenez also. 3 highly thought of international guys.

Good catch, I thought I'd included them in the "blue" category.
Didn't realize that Reina was gone. Fixed.

I agree on all three. The Tigers system is very thin so we need all the quality players we can get. I'm a little concerned that they are too young. We'll have to work at limiting the number of teenagers in the final roster. 3-5 should be a good number.

Agreed. If your going to add some, those are the 3.

What do you think of Devon Travis? No expert is giving him any love this season, even after he destroyed A-ball.

I really like him. I think he's a dark horse-type of player. He'll be a solid 10 year starter. Call him a taller/poor man's Jose Altuve.

Devon Travis was named in Baseball America's top 100 prospects list today...coming in at #84. Looks like the word is getting out about him.

Dear Ivanhoe,

I have saved a copy of your chart and will look it over and give you my comments. It looks like you did quite a bit of work already. As far as helping creating players, we are in the process of selling our Georgia place and moving back full time to Austria (as opposed to splitting time between the two places) so I will not have so much time this year to help.

I have not seen any threads from Knight yet. Have you heard whether he will be working on the rosters this year? The other question is, will rosters created from PS3 be usable on the PS4 and vice versa? It would be terrible if that is not the case as most people will not be rushing out to buy a new PS4. Perhaps that question has already been answered. While the PS4 has better game graphics, I like the fact that the PS3 has a lot of other capabilities (Blu-Ray player, media server etc.)
