Is this game 'safe' to play?

Looking for some honest opinions. I don't have much time to get really immersed in a game anymore. I work full-time and have 1-2 hours a day 3-4 times a week to play. I want to start a myGM with my beloved Lakers and rebuild the Franchise. Knowing me, I want to play 12 min quarters, every game, and micromanage everything. The thing is, I don't want to put all this effort in my limited time and have the game die on me/file go corrupt/have some game breaking error.

So anyway, in your opinion, is this game safe to play and invest time in, or will it always have the prospect of going bust? Cause I don't want to waste my spare hour or two a day on a game that will go tits up any moment.

That being said, I'm sixteen games into mygm with no issues.

My personal opinion is, yes. It is "safe" to play it.

I however, do not think it would be worth your time to play 12 minute quarters. It seems as if you'd only get in no more than seven games a week. Do the math and it would take probably more than eleven weeks just to get to the playoffs.

I agree. Unless you have some really good slider set you will be closer to 150 than 100 every game. The game isn't built for 12 minute quarters.

I disagree. In all my years of NBA 2K I have never played a 12-min quarter game that has gone above 125, and those are rare. My games always end in the 85-115 range per team, and I find that to be quite fine, and in 2K14 that happened with no slider adjustments, All-Star, Sim. I run the break when I can, but I mostly run plays and am patient.

I understand that people that are more of the run-and-gun approach or play with much better teams than my Pistons might have different mileage, but I just wanted to put this out there.

Eh, you're probably in the minority i would guess. I can tell you i play on 10 minute quarters on superstar sim, with lowered shooting sliders and my games end up around 90-120-ish range. I've definitely had games above 125 on those settings.

The game was fine before patch 3, cpu missed open jumpers. I dont know what gameplay changes they made in the #3 patch every open jumper for the cpu goes in and fg% is 50 or more for both user and cpu. Its very rare to see a losing team with 50% fg and when you see it after every game its not realistic.
