How do you get more pancake blocks?

Anybody found how to increase the amount of pancake blocks by offensive lineman?

Power running? Lots of screens? Some sort of slider issue? Option plays?

It' isn't running the ball more. I wound up just basically pounding the ball in my Florida dynasty with the Stanford offense, passing only 2-5 times per game, and still the pancake totals were naught. My FB had a ton, but it was mostly on kickoff returns.

I think the impact blocking slider is what controls pancake blocks for the most part. Setting blocking to aggressive may help as well.

Sliders are key here as things get thrown out of whack quickly. You'll likely mess up more on the gameplay by trying to get pancakes then by just ignoring them.

One thing that I noticed when looking at pancakes (aside from them being tasty with maple syrup) is it seems that there is some correlation between high pancake numbers and high acceleration. Maybe linemen who can get off the line and into their block more quickly tend to get better leverage?

any way you try to do it, I don't think you'll ever get remotely realistic offensive line stats unless you are controlling the player. I played a dynasty with a buddy of mine a couple years ago and he would control the lineman and was able to get pancakes but even then the stat didn't always register correctly.

Re: How do you get more pancake blocks?

One nice little trick I found is converting a TE to WR...try it out. My TE/WR has something like 55 pancakes through 9 games.
