Shotblocking Too Easy?

Do you guys think that shotblocking is too easy? As a 7 ft Center, with only 60 shot blocking and 60 low post defense, I'm getting at least 5 blocks a game easily on HOF Sim difficulty in MyCareer. I can't imagine what I'd be averaging with 90 shot blocking and 90 low post defense.

You would average the same amount. Rating doesn't matter as much as timing. But I'd rather have the blocking right now than last year.

Yes. As the previous poster stated, those ratings are not as valuable as timing and to some extent vertical. Besides, Anthony Davis is averaging like 4 blocks a game, so it's not that far fetched of a statistic.

There are too many blocks (and steals) because not enough fouls are called. You can swat right through the offensive player without a foul call.

No. I think it's fine.

Especially compared to last year.

Re: Shotblocking Too Easy?

Blocks, along with tipping passes, boxing out and grabbing rebounds should be for the CPU, because we(the users) shouldn't need those ratings. Those things in real life, and in the video, are just based on timing/instinct. Now for the sig. skills...those are separate. Also, athleticism helps with those, just like a fast and/or quick wing player (in the videogame) can get to the ball a lot faster than a bigman can, therefore he can average more blocks and rebounds than a bigman if the user utilizes the player correctly.

But the blocking is fine. 2K needs to make the offensive player do a better job at not making it so easy to get the block sometimes tho. Just to be clear, I'm talkin about situations where a player may receive the ball wide open, but his shot animation so slow that a defensive player can just fly over and make a strong contest.

Blocking feels so good, like in your head you're like "not in my house". You feel like Mutombo lol.

Re: Shotblocking Too Easy?

Um I think blocking is definitely kind of OP. I'm a 6'4" SG with a block rating of 35 and I average 2 blocks a game easily. That just shouldn't happen; what would I average with a decent block rating, 7 a game?
