Just Bought the Game

So I just bought the game after dealing with the other basketball video game out there since I got my PS4. I've heard a lot of good things about Live lately and how it has really improved. Do you guys have any tips on how to best enjoy this game and really get the most out of it? Also, how is Dynasty Mode in Live?

I'll let one of the others who are more experienced with the game than me give you some specifics. However my 2cents worth would be learn the controls, stick with the game and enjoy the fact that it's very different.

Not exactly ground breaking stuff I know but like I said there are some here that are better placed than myself to advise you further.

Enjoy!

It's not a good game. The lack of fluid game play makes it hard to enjoy.

It ain't perfect but Live 14 is a lot more fun than any other hoop game out there, IMO.

NBA Live is not a perfect game, does it have it's shortcomings? yes it does, but it is some of the most fun I had in awhile playing a b-ball game. So just keep playing it and try to remember that it is a different game then it's comp, and also have fun while doing so...

My suggestion is, go into a game, and don't worry about the score until you get comfortable with the controls. Experiment with the controller until you get comfortable with the player movement and controls. The amount of control that you have is pretty deep, so try to experiment and get familiar with what is at your disposal.

I'm still learning things and I've been playing the game nonstop for a month.

Then work on your defense. Don't rely heavily on the L2 defensive stance button. Use angles and positioning to defend.

It's a different experience than what we're all used to, and if you try to play it in the same way as 2k, you probably won't be very successful.

like wtf said experiment before worrying about the score. for your first few games turn off the shot clock so you have plenty of time to get used to how things work. learn the controls and it will be a very rewarding experience. i played my first few games against a friend who had the game and thought i had a good grasp on it. then i got the game for myself and played the cpu. i still have a lot to learn lol.

This is actually a very good point and I started to have much more success on D when I realised this.
