CPU shooting percentages

Is it just me or are the CPU shooting percentages insane? No matter the difficulty they routinely shoot +60% for the game, and have quarters where they make 80-85% of their shots.

Im sure part of it is the complete inability of any of my teammates to guard anyone even passably, but is there anything I can do?

I never thought id say it but I'm really feeling let down with this game, its pretty much what I bought a ps4 for and Im just not feeling it.

Re: CPU shooting percentages

Well, in some modes you can adjust the CPU's accuracy downward. You can in MyGM, anyway. Not in MyTeam or MyCareer, though.

At lower difficulty levels, with default sliders, I don't see abnormally high CPU shooting percentages. On MyTeam, the CPU routinely shoots 60% against me, but a big part of that is that I turn the ball over a lot. Turnover, fastbreak, easy layup or dunk. On halfcourt defense, I seem to hold the CPU to a reasonable shooting percentage.

No…no it's not just you. The CPU is CONSISTENTLY shooting over 55% smdh Turnovers or not it's not just you, the CPU simply doesn't miss.

Re: CPU shooting percentages

Not just you, the CPU will go on a 3 point rampage.. Hitting every single one of them, no matter who is shooting. Even Steve Kerr chimes in saying "that's not something we ever see from him.. But hey if he he's feeling it by all means"
Big men, like Centers and PF who have no business outside of the post area.. Hitting threes nothing but net.. They turn a 2 point lead into 30 in 2 minutes. Your team misses every shot and plays no defense. It's frustrating

And I don't just mean MyCareer mode

Re: CPU shooting percentages

Adjust the sliders. I have to play with User and CPU at 38 Midrange and 38 3PT to see realistic results. It seems 2K inflated shooting percentages. If you have a 72 3PT it feels like it's much higher like 82. It has been like this since 2K12.

Da_Czar has made a video on this, and he adjusts his shooting sliders to 42, if I remember correctly. No simmer than Czar.

Re: CPU shooting percentages

There's an underlying problem even with slider adjustments. I understand the game in real life truly is a game of runs and streaks.

However to the runs of highs and lows last way too long, sometimes an entire quarter.

I like seeing the CPU shooting somewhere between 39-49% for a game but what I don't want to see is the CPU shooting 82% for the first quarter and 15% for the second just to achieve a sub 50% shooting %.

Tinker with Fatigue Rate, Layup Takeoff/Release, Jumpshot Gather/Release sliders. See if that helps. A more tired CPU would equal everything out.
