FIFA 14 (PS4) Serious Crashing Issues

I just picked up my PS4. The only game on my radar is FIFA. Fired it up and got my career mode underway. Checked out the new scouting and got to my first exhibition game of the summer. Finished the game and CRASH. Error code CE-34878-0 (application crash). Loaded again, played again. CRASH. Same situation. I've now tried six times and have crashed after each one (when exiting game from game menu).

It looks like this error is affecting a lot of games and there are some proposed fixes for some other games, but I haven't seen any for FIFA. Anyone else encountering this? The game is literally unplayable...

Had a freeze the other day. I had that error on madden once as well.

I've had FIFA since launch day, and I've played it a ton, mostly in career mode and kickoff mode and I've yet to see it crash or freeze even once.
I would try uninstalling then reinstalling the game, it could help.

i got the same issue they told me to delete the data i downloaded it off the PSN it keeps messing up after i finish a game

I picked up FIFA 14 for PS4 yesterday and was encountering crashing after EVERY Career Mode match I played. After searching for answers, I finally found something that worked on the Playstation Forums. (The user who posted this step-by-step process was Matysmati)

1) Delete FIFA 14 (all saves and updates)
2) Log out of PSN and disable the internet connection
3) Install FIFA 14
4) Start your Career Mode and play the first match
5) Save your Career Mode after the match finished
6) Connect to the internet and log on to PSN
7) Download the update
8) Install the update
9) Continue your Career Mode and you won't encounter the crashing issue after every match

This worked for me, so I'm hoping it can help out others that are having the same issue.

Ok guys. I was having the issue of the game crashing to main screen (loader) after hitting Advance in Career Mode. Could not save any played games on Xbox One!! ARRGGGH! Alas, did some searching and found this from an EA developer, and IT WORKED!!! See below:

Hi all,

Something that we'd like you to try is the following:
From the menu. go to the Practice tile
Navigate, with the RS, to Select Arena Player
Change the current player to a different one

While this sounds odd, this has helped some users in getting around this issue.

This worked a treat for me, bit of a phaff deleting all the saves, downloads and uploads, but only took 5 minutes!

Cheers for the work around but EA should be looking into sorting this out!
