Re: 2013-2014 Rosters (Xbox One)

By the way, I handled ratings differently then most. For starters, everyone has a Consistency of 60(including Super Stars). I've been doing that for years and it seems to work out. As far as potential goes, the "normal" players (so the majority of the league) will have a potential of either 60 or 65. Some guys have a 55. This prevents people from going from say a 65 rating to a 75 rating the next year after averaging only 3 points a game. All lotto picks have at least a potential of 70. Some young players who have the potential to break out and be great have a 75. Then there are the Super Stars who have a potential of 80. I believe there are only about 8 guys with the 80 rating. I also toned down Offensive and Defensive Awareness a lot for guys. This helped get a guy like Jarrett Jack to go down to a 71 (or 70 I forgot his actual rating) so he would be more willing to play 6th man. I also decided to make almost everyone either Neutral or Laid Back (which helped with player morale). Unfortunately some guys will still complain, but for the most part they won't get traded unless an injury surfaces. If I think of anything else that went into the roster I'll post it in this thread.

For the next part of the update, I'm planning on fixing accesories and jumpshots(Etc.). I also want to mess with the durability ratings of players to help get the injuries down across the league which will also(hopefully) cut down trades.

Have you run multi year sims with the potentials set this way? I was under the impression that potentials were switched this year to be the players max overall rating rather than a rate of progression.

From what I saw potential is still a progression. By the next year the majority of the league either stayed the same rating, got worse (older guys) or went up a point or two.

I don't think it's download for me. Can you post a few quickly identifiable ratings changes you made so I will know if I have the right file, or if it is just the default 2k file

I used the latest roster file(so injuries are included sadly). I made this roster mainly for MyGM seeing as all injuries are erased when you enter the mode. LeBron should be a 96 in the roster, he's 99 in the 2k one.

Just threw up an update with updated accesories for the Sixers & Clippers as well as new sig shots from the 76ers to the Lakers. Will finish Magic to Wizards tomorrow.
