New York should blow it up now before it gets worse. Amar'e isn't playing with any type of want to, it's like his desire is gone. Melo has had some bad games, because no one else is playing with any effort and it's weighing him down. Tyson just isn't what he should be and these fake injuries ever other game is showing the lack of wanting to play for New York. So with your whole team feeling and expressing their displeasure it seems it's time to blow it up.

New Orleans just lost Davis for the season. Plus Eric Gordon is Taking time away from Tyreke Evans which is slowing down their offense, getting rid of Gordon will open the court for more players to make plays, because Gordon's a black Whole. They have a need for someone in the post while Anderson is firing 3's, Amar'e is a perfect fit, in addition it would probably show his All-Star caliber self for the first time in 3 seasons.

Oklahoma City has a big lack of defense in the post, Perkins is long in the tooth so why not try to better your team, especially seeings how the team is regarded as potential NBA Champions. This transaction would put them in the Western Conference Finals for sure.

76ers need anything right now with 4 players out for the season or most of the season, they need a restart fast. Who better to go with Hawes and Carter-Williams than Melo? 76ers would give up a 1st Rounder for the upcoming draft but they have 2 more to spare. They wouldn't be giving up much other than Evan Turner, which is a hindrance to the 76ers offense, because since Iguodala left he feels the need to do to much which he's not good at doing.

Hawks well this trade is nothing more than a swap of Shumpert for a draft pick even though the Knicks would get Mack and Scott, but they would get cut. The Hawks would get better at perimeter D and a player that can slow down LeBron and Wade, which gives him great value.

Note these transaction free up about 28 Mil leaving them 1 Mil over the cap. Knicks would most likely get better after these transactions. Plus they get 2 Mid level expiring contracts. Which helps the next seasons salary cap by about 10 Mil and potentially able to free up more cap for one of next seasons All-Star Free Agents with new players from the upcoming draft. Understandably Knick fan's will be appalled by this but me as an impartial party being a lifetime Trail Blazers fan I would blow it up now like Portland did in the late 90's. Leave your comments would love to see what you think.

Re: What Should the Knicks Do? I have a solution.

This is so unrealistic. No one as of right now wants to trade anything valuable for a Melo rental because he has already said he will not sign an extension anywhere, making him a FA after the season. Who is going to trade for a play that they will probably lose after this season?

and as for Amare: who is taking on that contract and still giving up any valuable pieces? the Knicks would have to beg teams to take Amare from them and the Knicks do not want to give him away.

Shump could be traded, but this is the Knicks only real trade piece. The Knicks can do better than Mack, some other player, and a first round pick that will probably end up being out of the lottery. The Knicks would want a lot more than that for their best asset.

And as for the teams trading with the Knicks, a lot of these teams would never. Philly is trying to tank this season to have two first round picks in the 2014 draft. New Orleans would want a lot more for Eric Gordon AND Austin Rivers. OKC would do that trade, but the Knicks are trying to get rid of bad contracts and not take on Perks contract. And like I said before the Knicks would and could get more for Shump than what the Hawks give them right there

You take the term "blow it up" to another level.

The Pelicans part of the trade would never happen. First Davis is only out for about 6 weeks max. Gordon isn't blocking Evans at all he is the 6th man and is getting better at it every game. Also Smith just isn't a fill in to a trade he is their starting center.

The Knicks ain't blowin **** up. We're gunna squeak into the playoffs. Get knocked out. Resign melo to the Kobe max, killing the team for the next 5 years unless they pull some miracle of and get melo a good pg. that's all him and chandler need. Knicks have the worst front office in the nba with a terrible meddling owner.

This.

Pelicans had even been experimenting with rotations that the calls 'having all their best players on the floor,' with Gordon in at SG and Reke at SF, Anderson at PF and Davis at C.

Only problem is they are bad on defense, but good on offense.

That's just a rotation, otherwise Smith is the starting C, despite what his low rebounding stats might suggest.
