Recruiting strategy

Let me say please forgive me if this known already. I've had success finding gems and solid recruits with this technique.

First filter the recruits by their tendency, after that you filter what you would think their weakness would be. For example, search a possession receiver and then find a guy who has a fast forty time. Another example is to find a coverage safety who has a strong squat rating. Sorry if I'm preaching to the choir but I hope it helps.

Re: Recruiting strategy

This is an interesting concept. How would it apply to offensive linemen? I prefer Run Blockers, so what would be my next stat to look at in terms of the "weaknesses"?

Good question. My guess would be to just search run blocker with highest strength or squat. You could also search pass blocker with a high squat or strength and he likely will turn out to have high awareness which in turn helps the run blocking. You will find some busts but I've noticed I'm finding really good players and they're immediately interested in my school. Let me know how it works

Re: Recruiting strategy

you could potentially even check o-linemen's speed/accel. A higher speed/accel means they would be better at pulling, so more effective counters and screen plays and whatnot
