What happen to clicking left stick to look up stats

In past Madden games you could go to My Roster and press down on the left stick and it would show the players stats. Now you have to review the players info to see stats. Major problem is, that it doesnt say what team they got the stats for! Example: If its the year 2016, when I review my players stats for a QB it will say 2015 14 TDs 6 INTs but it wont say what team he did that with. But When your not playing career mode and edit roster, it goes back to the old way of left click and what team they got the stats for. Why is that? Also every time I review a player info, right after it brings me back to my team. Example: If Im the Jets and I look up Peyton Mannings stats, after I click off it goes back to my team instead of staying on a Broncos. It's just annoying to me

Part of dumbing down the game I guess? It was helpful when looking at who to resign as well. It's one of the many reasons I stopped playing current gen. I figured they'd have fixed it for Next Gen, but apparently EA is just gonna EA.
