in game saves - PS4

It has worked for me in play now games when I chose "close software" at halftime. however it didnt work when i exited out of a single player online franchise, though I selected standby without closing software first.

Just want to figure out how it works...

1- does it work in an offline franchise? If so does the "resume game" show on the main home screen or do you need to load your franchise first and it shows in there?
2- does it need to be end of quarter, or will it do it at any point in the game? do you have to close software first, or can you directly choose standby/shutdown in game?

yeah, in-game saves in OCM too...

just shutdown the ps4 (thoguh the main menu) mid game & when you load it back up it should take you to the in-game moment where you left off.

It's hard for me to fathom that it would let you resume an online connected careers game. Even though you are playing the CPU, I was always under the impression that everything was stored online and even some of the game logic was there. If you recall in the past the programmers could make changes to the logic on the server side, fixing minor glitches and bugs, while offline mode still had them until a patch was release. Seems there would be an issue with this to me........

I am not sure if the post before me was confirming or denying this as I am not sure what OCM stands for!

offline career mode is what i intended it to mean.. sorry for the confusion

i dont play CCM, so i cant answer if in-game saves would work with those

So it appears you can either close software or choose shutdown/standby from within the game. Franchise (offline) or play now.

And I can confirm it does not work with an online connected franchise...i started a preseason game, shut the system down, and when i went back into the online connected franchise i was starting the game over.

Well I'd like that offline mode too but I also like having access to all the between games XP management via the web. I can then get this done on my lunch breaks at work and have more "game time" when I am in front of the actual console.

Still....it would be nice to save in progress as well as take over other teams when needed. Another benefit is I think you can save your offline franchise as a new file. So...if you play a game and your star QB gets a season ending injury, you could go reopen your previous save and he's not hurt! I know its cheating.....but at least its an option.
