Bets Drafted Nosetackle

I am gonna run a career with the Steelers and want to know if anyone has stumbled upon some good nosetackles that I can draft?

Re: Bets Drafted Nosetackle

Probably the toughest position to find a good player for...

I do have a few suggestions though...

The highest rated NT's are:

I think you're better off trading for one. Go after Phil Taylor or Michael Brockers. Drafted DTs in this game are kind of a needle in a haystack.

Re: Bets Drafted Nosetackle

When I started my franchise with the steelers, I could not find any good nose tackles, so I ended up switching to a 4-3. Lately in the drafts, 15 years in; I have been seeing a lot of good nose tackles. Not with high overall's, but good size and strength that will develop very well. In fact, there have been several nose tackles in the free agent pool at week 4 of the preseason with a physical rating in the high 80's low 90's. I hardly draft dt's anymore because I can pick them up there cheap and sign them to long contracts at the end of the season.

Re: Bets Drafted Nosetackle

Not sure what year you are in but solid nose tackles start becoming available in year two. Phil Taylor is often on the block and as long as you have the money to resign him is pretty good. Kendrick Ellis of the Jets is also pretty easy to get right off the bat if you can offer a positional upgrade to them...Terrence Cody is also often available and although he has been around a few years is pretty fat.

Also, there are few draftable DEs that make good Nose Tackles. Don't have their names on hand...

Check the Free agent list preseason week one every year. I found a good undrafted Nose Tackle there.

Re: Bets Drafted Nosetackle

I use the Steelers as well. First thing I did was change them from a 3-4 team to a 4-3 defense. Then I found some studs in my first draft:

Torren Newkirk Draft -

DT Enrique Albert. 82/85 speed/acc with good block shed and 90 STR. 67 ZCV. 91 HPW. 87 AGI. Also makes an excellent DE or OLB.

LE - Matt Raby - 90/94 Speed/Accel. Dominating DE. Tied the sack record as a rookie.

RE - Marques Clayton 77/90 speed/accel. mid 80's FMV and PMV. 81 AGI. 80 STR.
