Today, Slightly Mad Studios are proud to announce that crowd-powered, AAA racing title Project CARS will be coming to three further gaming platforms in 2014.

Both Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One consoles will see Project CARS racing onto them during 2014 as gaming enters the next generation with new benchmarks of graphical fidelity and technical power becoming possible and Project CARS aiming to set a new standard for virtual racing for motorsports and car fans around the world.


Furthermore, Project CARS will also be coming to Valve’s Steam OS, extending an existing partnership with Steam that has already allowed tens of thousands of WMD members the ability to download and play builds of the game during its development and allow specific multiplayer and social features that are only possible using this unique platform.

Project CARS will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam OS, PC, and Wii U starting Fall 2014.

im glad this will be coming to next gen consoles. it will give gran turismo and forza 5 a reason to try to bring more to the table.

This game is going to be so great. It's going to blow the pants off of Forza and GT. I can't wait. I've been keeping tabs on this game for a while now and every time I see something new for it it just gets me so excited for this game.

This game has been showing a lot of promise for a long time. Really looking forward to it, just hope it lives up to the billing!

This game is the one that helped me make up my mind, and go PS4, this early on into next gen. Since I didn't want to miss out on MLB The Show this year, and Forza was really all that was pulling me towards the XB1...so excited for this.

My biggest gripe with pCARS is the audio. The engine sounds are awful in my opinion. The graphics are some of the best I've seen no doubt and the physics look great, but I can't get over the engine sounds. Granted, pCARS still rocks GT6 in the audio department. I personally like the realism of engine sounds and the game needs to work on it.
