Too many goals on rookie, pro too hard

I just got NHL 14 and noticed that rookie plays like a game for people who are dummies about hockey, but pro is too hard. Is there anything I could do about this?

Adjust the sliders, specifically the difficulty.

I never really looked at the sliders, do you know which ones to adjust to make the CPU easier to defend?

Just go off your playing ability. If you score too much lower your accuracy, or increase opponent goalie reaction. If youre scoring because of slap shots through screens lower screen effect. If cpu is making crisp passes lower their pass accuracy. Sliders are pretty self explanatory and youll get great games when you adjust them to your style of play.

Ok. The main reason I think the CPU scores too much is because their snapshots close to the goal go in every time and they also get a few one timers due to good passing.

Try tinkering w/
Pass reception ease, hum interceptions, and or hum aggression to let you teammates be more aggressive on d in front of net. Cpu acc, or hum reaction for goalie.

Good luck

I'm having the same problem as you, I'll try adjusting the sliders.

Another issue I'm having in my GM Mode on rookie is hits/injuries. I get hit maybe twice a game if lucky and have had 0 injuries 10 games into my season. I've turned up computer aggression to the max and my injury slider up by 1 and nothing has changed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
