Indiana Pacers - Online quick matches

Is anyone else having a problem shooting 3 pointers with Danny Granger? I don't call plays, and it seems like Granger ALWAYS end up wide open in the corners, but I can't knock down the shot consistently. It's getting to the point where I'm actually scared to shoot with him, but I keep taking the shots due to him being so wiiiiiiiiiiidddddddddddeeeeeee open.

The main reason that I don't like shooting with him is that it's mostly likely to end up as an automatic defensive rebound for the other team, or it'll be an automatic turnover because it bounced over the backboard. I have his shot release down pack, and I mostly get Excellent-A rated shots. I find it odd that I'll go 2-10 shooting with Granger, but I can easily shoot above 40% with Paul George on contested shots and worse releases.

Lastly, does anyone uses Stephenson? I use Orlando Johnson, because I feel (rating-wise) that he's the better player to use in ranked matches. In my mind, Johnson is the player that Stephenson SHOULD be.

Paul George is WAY overrated. I hate playing the Pacers, tough to beat them.

been using indy since 2k12

for ME danny granger is a great shooter.. you just have to realize his shot is pretty late .. i hit more jumpers with granger than i do george.
at first i did have some issues with both him and rudy gay, but holding their shots longer solved the issue.

and i still like stephenson over johnson on this game.. i use him as my backup pg

i guess everyone has different experiences tho, because ive played against the pacers and see the user go 1/13 with granger on decent shots

all i can say is... take him into freestyle practice mode and play with his shot
remember: 2k incorporated early/normal/late releases into this game

I've been a Pacers fan since I was born and have ALWAYS used them in 2k... Kinda weird seeing so many people online wanting to play with the Pacers.. Hasn't been like that in a long time. Anyways, I can't tell you what you're doing wrong but I tend to hold Grangers release just a tad bit longer and he's money when he's open. And to answer the Lance Stephenson remark.. Stephenson is on point in this game. I don't see why you would even think about letting Orlando play over him, Lance is fast, athletic, and can hit the open jumper when you need him to. I love Lance on this game and the Pacers defense is fantastic btw

ive been using pacers since 2k7, like others have said grangers shot release is a little late. i love granger on here but pg is alot better as ratings state. i suck with stephenson on here and play orlando johnson instead. orlando is one of the best shooters on this game

I've been using the Pacers, since Bulls vs. Lakers on the Sega Genesis. I'm going to try to shoot with a later release, but to me...if the game is telling me that I'm getting excellent, A grades, then I should be at least hitting 40% of his shots. I'm not one of those individuals who expect it to go in a 100% of the time, but geez...can I at least see it go in at a rate that's closer to his career numbers? In NBA 2K11 and 2K13, Granger was a damn monster when you left him open.

Keeping it real, I mainly use Orlando Johnson, because he has better ratings in the things that I would use Stephenson for. Plus, Stephenson has way too many cold spots on the floor for my taste, and I like Orlando's shooting release better. If you do a side by side comparison of their stats, Stephenson is only rated higher due a few categories. To me, Stephenson should be rated where there should be no doubt in your mind who you should use between the two. For example, Johnson actually have better rebounding ratings than Stephenson. Something is wrong with that picture, IMHO.
