Intentional fouling not working?

I've noticed intentional fouling doesnt seem to work. I just made a massive comeback from 14 points down with 3 mins left and the opposition had the ball to inbound with a 1 point lead with 6 seconds left. Prior to this play my team had been intentionally fouling. But for this play they didnt so i pressed the button myself and they just stood there like dummys

Also on fast breaks i've tried to tackle or intentionally foul and it doesnt seem to recognise or do it.

Is this broken for everyone or just me
