MLB 14 PS3

I am not picking up the PS4 right away so I am wondering if the old console has any juice left. Have they squeezed everything they can out of the PS3?
Not much bothers me about 13 with the exception of the general movement around first base on pick off moves. Collision detection and insanely quick movements at times by the first baseman.
There is a strange animation in the game been there for some time on plays near the walls. You can make an attempt on a ball that goes out of play and after you jump or lunge the fielder comes up empty handed ready to throw an imaginary ball somewhere. Looks silly.
Will they even bother fixing any of these small issues left in the game or do they go full bore on the new console?

IMO what we have now will be as good as it gets for PS3, what with the limited memory & all. I just wonder how much difference will be in the
PS3 Show 14 & the PS4 Show 14. I've got to assume the PS4 Show will
have an extended minor league *fingers crossed*

Better off-season tutorial, I keep messing up my franchises because I don't know 100% what to do

Most likely if you have expectations of a certain level of advancement you will be let down next year. Between limited current gen development resources and limited untapped potential you should probably view any substantial improvement as a bonus.

There probably won't be much of a difference between the PS3 and PS4 of The Show '14. Developers are barely finding out how to develop for the system. There should be a significant difference in '15 and '16, though.

Don't forget this is a Sony studio. They've likely had more time than most to develop on the new system. Also, judging by what they've been able to accomplish year in and year out, I expect to be very happy come March.

Me too. I may not buy a ps4 right away, but this game is keeping me away from xbox one

...isn't kind of amazing that a BASEBALL game is a system seller. I think sometimes we take that for granted.

That's true but wasn't that the same with the ps2 to ps3 transition? And as I recall the real big steps were made with the Show 08 while 07 was the first installment on the ps3 back then.

Don't get me wrong I hope they will blow us away with The Show 14 like anyone else

Also keep in mind they went to a pc infrastructure in the ps4 this time around instead of the specially developed cell processor in the ps3. This should make it easier for programmers to develope games BUT our beloved SCEA dev team now has to change the whole game infrastructure to run on this pc infrastructured ps4. We all know how skilled they are but these things all come in to play...oh and they will also have to keep new installments of the show running on the ps3 for a couple of years.
