Fave NBA Live Game?

Since NBA Live is coming back for first time in 4 years, thought it'd be cool to hear peoples thoughts on past games and which was their fave(and why).

Part of me wants to say NBA Live 2000 just cause it was the first NBA Live game I played(I still remember playing with the Vancouver Grizzlies,the Spurs with their 90s logo,Charlotte Hornets, Payton era Sonics logo among others.

But NBA Live from 04-06 was great. EA Sports in general in 2004 had great games. NBA Live 05/06 brought back all star weekend(I spent hours on the dunk contest on both games,throwing the ball off the camera,off the screen,doing all sorts of flips lol)

Live 05 was great, but I enjoyed Live 99 the most (played them all on the PC until Live 2003). So Live 99 got my vote. Live 10 is probably the best as far as sim basketball, but I wasn't even close to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed 99.

For me it was NBA Live 2003 hands down. Introduced freestyle control and was a huge leap over previous year graphically and gameplay wise. I really enjoyed 2006 on Gen 2 but only played it for a few weeks until next gen hit.

Nba live 10 and 09, but i am leaning more towards live 09

I think the game peaked in 2003. Awesome across the board (Pared's sliders). 10 was the last decent game. Personal fave is 2000. Loved that soundtrack to.

• March Madness draft classes on PS2
• crazy amount of updates (continuing today even) on PC
• dynasty mode cutscenes for the draft/trades/signings/releases
• in-game dynasty ticker at the bottom of the screen with news items around the league
• magazine covers in dynasty
• dynamic crowd attendance with legit empty arenas in dynasty mode
• pretty balanced gameplay even with the sliding and prostep abuse
• facial animations/expressions
• purchasable retros/practice uniforms

• team themed menus
• EA Sports Bio (PS2)

ok....points made, time to find my discs. For the current generation, Live 09. Live 10 had too many issues (slow-mo alleyoops) after patches

NBA Live 2001 for the playstation not the ps2 version, I had a blast playing it probably the one live game aside from 04 I put in tons of hours in playing. Live 04 was next on the list because of the import draft class from March Madness 04 ehich was the best March Madness game I have played.
