NBA Live Interview with Gary Paterson

Just found a new interview with Gary Paterson from the Live team. They actually talk about a few interesting things, outside the usual marketing lingo (Bouncetek, Court Q, etc.). Not a ton of new details, but I like what he says about the sound and rewriting the majority of core systems in the game.

Yeah I think I just read it on gaming bolt. They have to be holding back until 2K next gen goes gold. I think they don't want to reveal anything that 2K can implement at the last second.

Even that doesn't really make any sense. At this point it's really too late to implement any real changes. Maybe just to keep people talking (wondering) about it? I don't know. The marketing has not been great to say the least.

I'm just happy we have some additional information. However, going forward, there shouldn't be a week that goes by without getting some features, video etc. We're less than 45 days until launch.

Damn, when you put it in that perspective it seems so close. Live has to really get the ball running with marketing this game.

I feel like I know what i'll be getting from Live this year, but i'd still like to see what it's gonna look and play like before release

Yeah I've been tired of more interviews and articles we are 8 months passed that stage...

I guess the EA Basketball Division has never heard the statement: Actions speak louder than words!

We've heard all talk and no display of any type of action...

At this point it directs me to believe that something is wrong with the game or they aren't happy with it enough to represent it with great advertising and marketing...
