Week 7 Discussion

Here's the deal. I'm going to keep making these threads to keep discussion in because last year some people complained about the clutter.

However, if you feel like a game is big enough to get it's own thread, then by all means, start it. Personally, I liked having 4-5 game threads for the big games. But if you're going to start a thread, please use good judgement.

Spoiler

I'll be suffering in the Tiger Stadium heat. **** you, CBS.

Re: Week 7 Discussion

Yea lets definitely get back to single game threads in addition to this. Makes everything much easier.

Re: Week 7 Discussion

Keep posting these threads I like bigger games getting their own threads smaller ones can go in here.

Hoping lsu beats florida, hoping georgia beats Missouri. With the way Georgia's offense has been hit with the injury bug and the way Georgia's defense has played all year it wouldn't suprise me to see Missouri get the upset.

Which leads me to LSU must beat florida, so georgia will still control their own destiny and not have to back into the championship again.

I was going to make two single game threads again this week. I think a few are on the bubble for someone else to make the call though:

Will Make
#17 Florida @ #10 LSU
#2 Oregon @ #16 Washington

Bubble
#25 Missouri @ #7 Georgia
#12 Oklahoma vs. Texas (Red River Rivalry)
#19 Northwestern @ Wisconsin

Re: Week 7 Discussion

Uhhh...you forgot the most important game of all:

Saturday, October 12

7:00 PM #15 Villanova at #3 Towson | NBC Sports Network

In a match-up of Top 25 CAA rivals, the Wildcats will head to Towson on the Tigers' homecoming as both teams look to continue a strong start to the season. Towson (6-0, 2-0) will look to continue their undefeated season as well as a 10-game winning streak that dates back to last season and is second only to North Dakota State.

Villanova (3-2, 2-0) will come into Johnny Unitas Stadium with the hope of continuing their climb up the Top 25 polls and into contention for a CAA title and playoff berth. To do so, the Wildcats will need to stop running back Terrence West. West is coming off of a 238 yard 3 TD performance against New Hampshire; the offense set a school record for offensive yards that week with 731 yards. Villanova is coming off a blowout win over Delaware.

Villanova and Towson were two of four teams to share the CAA title last season.

I plan to get out there as soon as the parking lot opens for tailgating Saturday and start getting ready for this one. I'm so hyped for this, could be a really important game for both teams when it's all said and done.

Re: Week 7 Discussion

With Miami being off this week, I just hope they don't fall a spot or two in the polls. I hate when a team is on a bye week and they drop a sport or two.
I also have to hope for teams in the top 10 to lose.

Re: Week 7 Discussion

Mizzou is firing on all cylinders.. This is our first big test.. Injuries definitely help but having to go in the dog pound and pull out a victory is not an easy task. Definitely ready for the game regardless should be a good one!
