Scouting a step in the right direction

The scouting in M25 is a huge step forward in football gaming. I love that you can pick which skill area of a player to scout. I don't recall any game ever giving that kind of freedom to search out a player who fits the scheme you want to run. One the other hand, it boggles my mind that combine information is not available for each player to use as a screening tool for further scouting. NFL 2k5 had it, where you could even sort on any combine number (indeed, previous Maddens had it, albeit without the ability to sort). If a WR or CB runs a 4.6, he's off my draft board and I won't even bother scouting him. Same for an OT who can't do more than 18 on the BP. If they address this, Madden next year would really have something. All in all, though, a real nice step forward in football videogame scouting!

Overall, I think the current system is totally flawed. In real life, nothing in the draft is guaranteed, yet in the game if you're willing to spend enough scouting points you can unlock every attribute's rating. I do agree that all of the combine drill numbers should be available without needing to spend any scouting points. I'd prefer where you have to hire a scouting department and the most information you get from them is a letter grade, never a specific number for a rating, and even the best scouting departments will give you inaccurate information from time to time

They need to add a bust feature so many picks are hit or miss

I'd love to see them branch the scouting feature out. I'd like to see season end awards, heisman race list, and combine scores. I think by adding this depth it'll bring a whole new element to the mode.

I agree! if they"EA" call themselves making it a "sim". Why should you spend money on something that is a given! They need to add character traits were players get suspend for off da field issues. I would say for hits too, but that will open a whole other door.

They should somehow combine the college and pro game together in the same game. Screw all the ncaa, CLC, conference licenses. Just make a good playing college game that lives in madden 15's universe and they could make the draft, scouting, etc unbelievable.
