**Rumor**
Financial Mogul M.T Biggums is in negotiations to buy 41% of the Chicago Bears from the 80% currently owned by the McCaskey Family, which would make him majority owner of the Chicago Bears.

*****BREAKING NEWS*****

New Majority Owner>

M.T. Biggums is now thenew majority owner of the Chicago Bears. While the details are undisclosed, it is said to believed that he will be the majority owner of the Chicago Bears. This is great news for the team and for the M.T. There is an official press conference tomorrow at 1000 to announce the news. While this is just a formality, the other NFL owners will meet, via, phone to give an up or down vote on M.T. purchase of the Bears.>

******PRESSCONFERENCE******

New Owner Assumes Mantle

Chicago, Illinois- “Thisis a great day for the city of Chicago, my home town, and all of the fans of Chicago Bear football.” -M.T. Biggums

Now, I know that the McCaskey/Halas family has owned the Chicago Bears since Papa Bear and others founded the National Football League in Canton, Ohio, but I have been a fan since I was a little kid and now the opportunity to buy my childhood team hadcome up and I could not refuse this once in a lifetime opportunity to own Da Bears. My number one goal was to still have the McCaskey family maintain ownership the Chicago Bears and for them to be involved in the organization. This is a family affair and I plan to keep ownership in the family, of the Bears, long after I am gone. I will be a part of the day-to-day operations of the football team and I will have the final decision making authority on all football related matters. With that being said, I will continue to have Ms. McCaskey as Chairman of the Board and for her sons and family to remain in the organization as senior executives on the non-football side of the house. I have big plans for the team which will be featured and spoken in much detail, in the future. I plan to be an out-of sight, out of mind owner and allow my football people to do its job. Thank you.

Re: Da Bears: A Chicago Bears Madden 25 Dynasty

And now we are back on the Waddle and Silvy show on ESPN AM 1000 and we have an exclusive guest in the studio, newly minted Chicago Bears Owner, Mr. M.T. Biggums.

Silvy: Welcome to the show!

M.T.: Thank you for having me.

Waddle: So let’s get started, first question, Whatare your plans as the new owner?:

M.T: Well, Waddle, I would like to make some staffing changes, I have hired a new marketing, financial, and stadium directors. Next, I hired a fan director, who will be in charge of fan happiness, a team success and staffing director, they will keep me abreast of everything going on outside and inside of the organization, with regard to my coaching staff.

Silvy: So Mr. Biggums…

M.T.: Call me M.T

Waddle: Not so formal you, butt kisser

Silvy: (annoyedwith Waddle) M.T. what we want to know is what is the future of the Bears under your leadership, now that you have hired a new non-football operations staff?

M.T.: I will see to raise the fan happiness and to continue to get revenue and create new revenue streams for our football team. Furthermore, I would like to potentially build or re-vamp the stadium at Soldier Field, to add more seats and more fan friendly commodities. I do not want the fans to think that things will be the status quo, under my ownership. In fact, I have also made a commitment to the city of Chicago, to keep the Bears here for the next few decades by signing a new agreement with the city and Mayor Emmanuel.

Waddle: Let’s talk for a minute about the football operationsside of the house….

M.T.: I have an exclusive announcement….. I am breaking it here first…. I have signed an exclusive deal with ESPN AM1000, specifically, with the Waddle and Silvy show, to have a few interviews a year only on ESPN AM 1000.

Applause

Waddle: Mr. T, Let’s talk for a minute about the football operations side of the house… Specifically what is the organizational structure going forward……

M.T.: Great question. I have promoted Ted Phillips as the C.E.O of the Chicago Bears and have given him as a token, 1% ownership in the team and he will report to Ms. McCaskey and I. Next, I have promoted GM Phil Emery, to President of Football Operations. His new job will be to oversee both the football and non-football side of the house. Phil will still have some say in the direction of the team and he will be working alongside my new GM. The search is now underway for the new GM. As for coach Trestman, he will still be the Head Coach of the team and will work with the new GM, and Phil on the football side of the house.

Silvy: Is there going to be any singings of players on the last year of their deals?

M.T.: The 3 headed brain trust will make that decision. >

Waddle: Thank you for your time M.T.

M.T: Thank you guys.

It is that time again to pull out our team gear and support the greatest American sport of our time: Football! As I do every year, I will predict the order of finish for the teams in the NFC North, (or Norris, as referred to by Chris Berman).

Pre-Season NFC North Predictions

Packers: McCarthy+Rodgers= Dominance. The Pack has been the ruling kings of the division for a while because of the continuity of Rodgers and McCarthy. The key will be the health of Clay Matthews and their Offensive Line. The loss of Jennings will not be that big of a deal. Predicted Finish: 13-3

Lions: Great front 7+Stafford+Megatron (or Calvin) + (Johnson, “Johnson loves the kids”- Diddy) =Playoffs for Jim Schwartz. With new addition Reggie Bush now able to operate in space and run the football, they will not only be fast, but they will be a team no one wants to contend with come playoff time. Concerns are Stafford’s health and can Suh play within himself and not jeopardize his team with his antics. Predicted Finish: 11-5

Bears: New Head Coach+ New Offense-Lovie Smith= Potential disaster. The new coach is an offensive/QB guru, and he was hired to do one thing: Get the best out of Cutler. With Forte, Martellus, Marshall, and Jeffery, the offense, once learned will become powerful. The defense, now a year older will have to keep up their turnover ways, until the offense will be able to carry their own weight. Predicted Finish 9-7

Vikings: “All Day”+ Ponder= A long season for the Vikings. With Frazier backing Ponder for the QB nod, the defenses will load the box to stop Peterson. This can work to the Vikings advantage, if Ponder can connect with Jennings, new rook Patterson, and Rudolph. The secondary is susceptible for the deep ball. As longas Jared Allen and Co. is rushing the passer, the Vikings have a chance at the wildcard. Predicted Finish: 8-8
