An Example of how "Offensive" CFB has become.

In 2013, Auburn is averaging 440 ypg which ranks 49th in the nation.

That would rank 22nd in 2010 and 16th in 2004.

That's including clock rule changes, etc.

My how times have changed.

I'm not disagreeing with you but are those 2010 and 2004 stats based on after 3 games or at the end of the season? Because if your comparing stats from the end of the season to stats after a couple games it might change since a lot of stats right now are inflated due to teams playing FCS teams etc.

Teams were playing FCS teams, cupcakes in those seasons as well so I don't think it is that much different.

My point was are you comparing end of season stats to first 3 game stats? Because some of the current offensive stats will go down once we reach conference play (not drastically but I get your point about the change of the offense in CFB) It can be fun to watch but as a defensive guy sometimes annoying.
