Tuner Sets?

There have been about 3 Tuner sets available to download since the game came out. However, the only tuner version listed in my game is 1.00. Anyone have any idea what these "tuners" are or what they fixed, etc??

They always do this when a game comes out. I'm just hoping they don't ruin this game like they did last year's.

Re: Tuner Sets?

I got a new one this morning—at least I think I did. Last year the same tuner kept getting deleted and I had to re-download for somer reason.

I haven't seen anything about what these tuners are, so I haven't downloaded a single one from early release or now. As Steve above mentioned, they did this last year (first 1 or 2 tuners overwriting "1.00") and the game never quite played the same.

I'm also having a great time right now, so why bother changing.

Over on the EA forums, it's mentioned the that tuners fix the "wrap around" goals. Then again, not sure which tuner fixes that....

Re: Tuner Sets?

I've noticed that fighting has completely disappeared since downloading the 3rd tuner set (still 1.00). I used to get into at least one fight per game from hitting from behind or accidently shooting the puck on net after a whistle. Now there is nothing. Nothing at all. I guess people were getting pissed off with the online goonfest.

What I have noticed is that the game speed seems faster and knocking guys over is much easier.

I've only been playing GM Connected where I can't adjust slider settings. Not sure how it's affected other game modes.

Re: Tuner Sets?

Maybe EA messed up the penalties again. Funny thing is, I had more penalties in the ONE period of play in the DEMO than I have in 5 games I've played with the full version.

Re: Tuner Sets?

One of the tuners they put out during the Season Ticket period made big players tougher to hit and small players easier to hit.

Here is what the tuner today did:

"Improved goalie save coverage on wrap around shot attempts (back hand and fore hand). Goalie will now anticipate wrap around shots better and will stay on the post with more regularity. "
