What is the best football txt sim game for pc?

I'm desperately trying to find a pro or college football simulation game that is most like OOTP 14!!!!

Yes its brutal.

The options are extremely limited. FoF or PFS and personally neither are that good. PFS is amatuerish which is about right the developer does it on side and he has been very busy so not much has come out lately. FoF looks like it should be run on MSDos and has some really poor AI that is game breaking imo.

If you are into college, Bowl Bound College Football by Greydog is by far the top football sim, but it is college. The mod packs are amazing and the game overall is incredibly deep.

Cool... I was thinking about buying it but a couple of things I read said the game is a little outdated. Can u still get updated rosters and current d1 schools and conferences?

"Front Office Football" is the best one out there now in my opinion. It has everything that football provides that you want to see. Playing in an MP league is the best because you go aginst other Human players. I've been playing in a MP league for over 3 years now.

1. Free Agency
2. Trading
3. Penalties (you even have ilegal formation as a penalty)
4. Draft
5. Your players ratings mean evrything.
6. Game planning
7. Salary Cap
8. Build stadium, set ticket price.
9. Updated NFL Rosters

Now the developer of FOF is coming out with a newer version of FOF this year. Some are saying as quick as Nov.

Yes you can get updated rosters, but not sure about the new conferences. However it is very easy to do those yourself. Also, you can do a playoff format before you start.

Was hoping to be able to start my own thread but noobie here.

First time poster looking for a recommendation. I’m looking for a Football simulation that would let me setup a fantasy league with a structure that isn’t the normal NFL structure, teams or players. Has a draft, free agency, salaries and a cap that I can set. Ability to design plays and hopefully see those plays acted out on the field to some degree. Would also like to be able to design my own helmet, field and endzone logos that would show up in the game to some degree.


I have looked at Front Office Football, Football Mogul, Action PC Football, Pro Football Simulator and Strat-O-Matic Football but I can’t get a good feeling on which one of these fits.


Really hoping to get some insight from people that actually have these games.
