Any Good Pass D from the 4-4?

Anyone know any tweaks/plays i could do/run to make the 4-4 split more solid against the pass?

use various zone plays and show blitz. Then put lb on left side thats in a yellow zone to a purple zone. User the free safety, but stay in position until the ball is hiked. go to outside to stop the run during a run play. when its a pass initially double team the tight end. if he doesnt go to the tight end then watch the left side wr, but the lb who is in the purple normally helps the cb who is covering the wideout.

Would the shade to the outside help in a goal line situation? Just curious if anyone has tried this. Want to try tonight when I get home.
