Draft classes

So which is the best way to go: Generated draft classes or Imported draft classes?

I'm seeing that some of the generated classes are a bit wonky, with really slow DBs. But people are also complaining that the imported classes are a bit heavy on QBs.

I'm really enjoying NCAA this year, so I'm leaning toward using imported classes (with auto-generated names).

i was hoping to find a thread on this, just not with me being the first response haha.. i started over due to the new rosters today.i was using generated classes.the repeat thing worried me, as well as hearing about the db speed thing.. i also heard about the qb thing for import, but there are many young qbs in the league starting 1st year so who knows.i have 3 classes saved and ready to go with real names.so im prolly gonna do that

Re: Draft classes

Hoping for some more answers.

Another question with imported classes: If I have, say, a RB who wears #5 in NCAA, will he be given a legal number (20-49) in Madden?

In all my experiences with Madden, if the number your player wore on college is available on your NFL team, they will wear it, regardless if its "legal" for the, to do so or not. You will have to manually change it.

I'd have to disagree. I drafted a lb whose number was 33 in college, that number was available on my team, and he got #53.
Second example was a wr whose number was 1. Another open number on my Madden team, and he got an 80's #.

Re: Draft classes

The imported classes are broken. In Madden they brought back run block strength, run block footwork, pass block strength and pass block footwork. However, those traits only show on the Main menu depth charts and in game depth charts, but NOT in the CFM team management depth chart or roster. When a rookie is drafted, check his in game ratings... You'll find that all rookies regardless of position have a zero in all four run and pass block traits AND a zero in the toughness trait.

Useless.

You're correct. In older versions the imported rookie could keep his illegal number if it was available. I can't remember what year it started, but EA finally fixed this and assigns the rookie a legal number. I haven't made it to the draft yet on 25 so hopefully this hasn't been broken in the new game.
