Using OOTP for Player Ratings

I've googled this several times and haven't found an answer yet...

Has anyone used OOTP for player ratings in MLB 13 The Show? I would like to create some historical players for The Show, but the calculators I've seen do not account for all player ratings.

For example, most calculators I've seen do not do a good job of coming up with ratings for Speed, Base Running Ability or pretty much any pitcher ratings.

It seems to me, OOTP would be perfect for getting accurate player ratings for historical players.

Just wondering if anyone has tried this and what the results were like.

Re: Using OOTP for Player Ratings

I DL'ed OOTP '08 for free, changed the scale option to 1-100
so I can use their speed ratings & I use their arm rating for arm strength
though I don't think OOTP intended it for strength (though I could be wrong)
I don't use their rating for anything thing else though as I have good ways
to calculate other attributes.
For the most part their speed ratings are pretty spot on & when ever I come across someone I feel OOTP is off on, I adjust accordingly
So no complaints here

How do you calculate other attributes? Especially for pitchers. I haven't seen a ratings calculator that works for all attributes.

I think I'm gonna make a few historical players using strictly OOTP for ratings and do a few test sims.

I just download OOTP 8 too, ratings looks like it could be a good one but it goes by the stats. And it's based on the 2006 season or earlier. Any chance I can edit or make the stats into 2012, 2013 or whatever? (it's the first time I've ever used OOTP as well)

Looks like I'm SOL as it would come in handy for the minor leaguers. So I'll have to stick with the calculator which takes forever lol
