What Happened to "Smart Commentary" we were promised?

What I mean by that, is I read a preview of M25 where they said commentary is all redone and will "remember" events and stats that happen to you. However once my 2nd year drafted player in CCM came on the field for the first play and I heard "And the new quarterback takes the field for the first time today, hoping to make an impact" or whatever generic line it is, I realized this was a total load of crap. They don't remember anything and the commentary is so dull and half the time it's silent and boring.

Gameplay, physics, and mechanics are good but this is the worst presentation on a Madden game I've seen a while...

This isn't the first time EA has done this. If you look on the back of the box, it says "celebrating 25 years of innovation..." LOL

If only they'd use that money from the marketing department for the actual game.

Presentation this year is just terrible... like the intros are horrible. It acts like sound effects are missing and nothing really fits right. Not to mention over 90% of the scenes and animations for presentation are from last year and before.

Oh it's there, but just like the rest of the commentary, it's terrible. The only things iv'e heard were them mentioning my redzone effectiveness and 3rd down conversion rate from last week, that's it.

I guess I just don't see how EA misses this everytime. JUST play one season of NFL 2K5, EA. Just do it and see what AWESOME presentation was like...and rip it off 100%....I don't care who did it 1st but it was great and can be done again and even better on newer systems....
