What's the best scheme to use for 5-2 defense?

The game neglected a 5-2 defensive playbook in this year's game and my team (USC) has a new defensive coordinator who has them running out of the 5-2. Which defensive playbook/scheme in the game is the most comparable to what USC could run in the 5-2 in real life

I'd have to look to fully answer your question, but couldn't you get away with running the 3-4 and subbing in DT for both DE and DE for both OLB? Then you'd just have to custom playbook pick plays that would be in the 5-2, like where the DEs aren't in coverage.

After reading this, it sounds like a 34 multiple scheme to me, the DC just wants to be different so he calls it a 52.

I use USC also. I just created a custom 3-4 Def playbook. I changed their DE's to OLB and moved a DT to DE. I primarily use 3-4 predator as my base. And against 4 or 5 wide pass happy teams I have subbed my OLBs (former DE back to there original DE spots and have the more mobile LBs playing in Nickel & Dime. I also use the 5-2 formation (with OLB subbed in @ DE) quite often when my opponent comes out in base set short yardage type scenario Or just to mix it up.
