Issues with shallow and flats zones

Anyone notice that linebackers and corners will run to the LOS after the ball is snapped when they are in a shallow/flat zone?

Its almost like they're running up to the line to watch the qb. The only time they seem to back pedal is when a player comes near them. Because of this, the middle of the field is often left wide open.

Are there any sliders that tweak how players play zone?

Re: Issues with shallow and flats zones

I rarely have any gains when I pass to a back in the Flats. Can anyone give some good insight into solving this problem? Years ago, the opposite was true. I could not cover the flats... now, I cannot pass to them.
