In association, try not to make more than 3 or 4 trades a season.

MyCareer is the BEST way to learn the game if you haven't played before, gets you into the flow and helps you understand the mechanics.

Association never interested me, it gets unrealistic very very easily.

Do the training camp, you get 1000vc on completion and learn some moves you can come back and practise anytime.

MyTeam, play exhibition matches first, learn your players strengths and weaknesses and your strategy for when you play online.

Be aware that ANY game mode you play online WILL have whiners about how you play, which players you have, how many 3s you shoot, how much you drive the lane etc etc as well as exploiters, search google for eurostep 3s, 99ovr hacks etc.
Just be ready to run into "godlike" players.

NEVER quit a game, always play it through no matter how much you're losing by. The tables can change, his net could drop out and you could get a free win.
A quit is a guaranteed loss.

Blacktop, don't bother online. Cheesers paradise.
Non stop ball hogging, eurostep 3s and whiners. Offline is great for a quick 150vc plus 10 if you win.

Hope that helped dude, enjoy.
And remember, the dribble stick can be your friend or your Achilles heal, learn to use it properly.
Also remember there is input lag when you play online.
Happy gaming

And do the training camp in practice. It teaches you a lot especially if you are new.

Get into your playbook, learning and executing plays can help the experience a lot.
