Regarding Presentation..

Hearing the background/ambient noises the crowd makes (like when you hear a single person in the crowd yelling something) needs to be changed.. listening to the new video from EA you hear everything is the same, probably since before NHL 07, or even if they were new in 07 that's 7 years of the same damn sounds!

"back, back, back" and "wheel!" from some guy in the crowd is SOO tired, along with every other sound the crowd makes. new sounds would really freshen things up.

Some of that is supposed to be coming from the bench.

You see EA is just lazy and greedy.

And Sean Rammersdeepdurdeepshalladeep is lazy and greedy as well, and quite the con man really.

He and EA will make about 30 million dollars in the first week, so clearly you can see that leaves no funding for paying people to do rosters or new faces or get the winter classic or stadium series in nhl14. sorry can't do it.

I just hope they stop the "She'll be comin round the mountain when she comes" trumpet guy that plays.

When the hell have you ever heard that at an NHL game in the last like 30 years? Maybe keep that for international stuff lol

Wouldn't worry for NHL 14, but do expect change for 15. Although I do agree it is time for a change, they simply can't afford new presentation every year. If i was a game developer knowing PS4 and XBONE are coming out, I would not make new presentation for NHL 14 that's coming out on PS3 and 360. Simply because if they made the change for 15 for the new consoles, it's a win-win for the game developers and the console makers.

People gotta understand it's the last game before the new-gen consoles. From a business standpoint, it's better to make presentation changes in NHL 15 than NHL 14 due to the fact of the new consoles.

Why? NCAA 14 has more presentation this year and it's not "next gen". Why can't the NHL team do something similar?

Little things go a long way...

I still think a new presentation shouldnt take up too much work - except for PbP, i give them a break hear because thats really a horseload of work, even if its annoying as hell as hearing the same stuff all over again.

However, doing some new entrances (i am not even ask for team specific ones), some new backround sounds and interface shouldnt be too much of work. Also what i still cant figure out is the stats screen. In times of high-res, how is it impossible to show the player stats per team on one screen? Heck even NHL 95 had it. I find it more than disgusting to barely have like 6 players with GP, G, A, PTS on the same screen without scrolling. 3/4 of the screen are wasted with a useless backround pic.

There won't be any substantial presentation overhaul until Next-Gen NHL 15. This year, EA tweaked everything but did not work a lot on presentation (except changing the fighting). You can assume NHL 15 will have new announcers, better entrances, better crowd faces, etc (but that is my own assumption).

Didn't EA work on the crowd for Fifa 14? I assume this will be integrated into NHL soon.
