From High School To Heisman!

The first batch of recruits are in! Let's take a look at our Freshman hopefuls looking to make an impact on the college football world next season!

QB Rick Moraco - The number 5 QB prospect out of Philadelphia, PA has all the scouts raving! While he doesn't have the speed to outrun anyone, he sure has the accuracy to get the ball to his receivers. His throw power is to be questioned but he is for sure one of the top pocket passers in this years recruiting class

It's been said he wants to stay close to home and go to a program with a long history of tradition, which would explain the top 4 schools he has on his wish list.

Penn State
Ohio State
Pittsburgh
Notre Dame

If he does indeed go to Ohio State or Notre Dame, it may be a few years before he sees the field. This will be interesting...

--------------------------------------

CB Joshua Botelho - The #89 rated CB on the board doesn't seem to have much going for him, but as most scouts will tell you, this kid has raw potential. He's good in coverage and can out jump anyone in the gym. He's big on playing time and staying close to home. So far he only has interest from a few smaller DIV-1 schools, but going to one of those he could make an impact right away. His wishlist looks like this so far

Akron
Buffalo
South Alabama
Georgia State
Central Michigan
New Mexico State

------------------------------

FB Alexander Jackson - Plainly said, the #7 FB in this years class is an absolute BEAST. Think Mike Alstott, but more powerful. Yeah, I said that. Has the power to run over any defender in his path, and is a machine when it comes to run blocking. Might not have the speed or finesse moves to chew up huge chunks of yards, but, put him in a goal line situation and it will be a TD EVERY TIME. He has a few big time programs on his wish list.

Wisconsin
Penn State
Boise State
Ohio State
Rutgers
Syracuse

---------------------------------

LOLB Brandon Benson - The #50 OLB out of Oregon is an absolute tank. He's not the best tackler, but once he gets you lined up you better watch out, you might lose a shoe. He's also respectable in the coverage game, which has teams salivating at the mouth to bring him to their program. With where he's from, his wish list is a no brainer.

Oregon
Oregon State
Washington
UCLA
Fresno State
Boise State

-----------------------

FS Mike Javon - The #93 rated FS in this years class doesn't seem like anything special when you first look at him, but he has incredible upside to improve his game! His speed and hit power are to die for, think an undeveloped Roy Williams, and, if coaches can get his man coverage to match his zone coverage, some lucky school is going to get a steal. Speaking of lucky schools, let's take a look at his wish list.

Colorado State
Missouri
Colorado
Wyoming

And there you have it, the first batch of recruits! (Supernova I know I forgot you and I feel like a dick about it, so you will definitely be the first guy for next years class!)

I'll update this post every time I sim a week just to see where you guys stand on scholarship offers, what schools you elminate, and eventually what schools you sign to! It should be a fun ride!

What's awesome about your write-up is that Alstott is one of my favourite players of all time since I was a kid, and though I didn't think about him at the time of my submitting, I think maybe I know why I love that mauler/battering-ram FB implicitly, and why I cast myself in that mould!

Here's hoping I head to a place I can see potential as that lead blocker and maybe a few carries first. Purely on team, I wouldn't mind being a Badger or a Buckeye. But hey, we'l see

Honestly when I was creating you, I was thinking to myself, wow, this guy is going to be awesome to play with. Just a spoiler, I gave you a 97 trucking rating..

I'm praying for the opportunity to go head to head with a small CB.

I think I'd be kicked out of my family if I went to Notre Dame being Penn State fans and all. haha Dan Marino is my favorite QB of all time though so having Pitt on the list is cool. Looking forward to this!

5 Week Recruit Update!

We're 5 weeks into the 2013 College Football season and we have some interesting developments with our 5 man recruit watch!

#5 Rated Quarterback Rick Moraco looks like he's going to become a Pittsburgh Panther. Sources close to the QB say that Pittsburgh and Notre Dame are his top two schools right now, both of which have offered him a scholarship.

Family and friends say that he's leaning heavily toward Pittsburgh, looking to follow in the footsteps of his childhood idol, Dan Marino. This would be a huge pickup for the Panthers at an instant position of need! Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more on this development.

-------------------------------------

Highly touted Fullback Alexander Jackson has also received a few offers from some top schools. Right now, it's rumored that Penn State and Rutgers are in the lead for this monster of a young man.

Penn State, Rutgers and Ohio State have all made offers for the services of Jackson.

-------------------------------------

LOLB Brandon Benson out of Oregon has literally cut off every school after him except for the Oregon Ducks. He has his heart set on being a student in Eugene next season. The Ducks have offered him a scholarship and he is expected to sign his letter of intent in the next couple of weeks.
