Nothing major but maybe it means there will be an emphasis on things happening off the court like benches, crowds, etc.

They've always had things happening off the court with bench players and the crowd. They're probably just adding more.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. Bench and crowd celebrations have never been much of an emphasis though other than adding a few animations here and there which could be what this is but it would be nice for them to work on the atmosphere a little more. Although, my gripe is mostly with crowd noise, not players having signature bench celebrations.

I hear you, I just hate when the MVP chants start after 3 weeks into the season.

NBA2k when it first started was known for their better crowd and off-court animations, but now they're going a bit overboard with these type of things. Just make the real game good first please!!
