Lower Balance + Higher Aggression = More Fouls?

So I haven't seen anything to make me run out and drop a Grant plus for FIFA 14 and I'm not getting sucked into the first line of new gen systems, the first ones always seem to have the most problems,. So looks like I'm gonna be playing one three for the foreseeable future. I have edited my sliders and custom team tactics to better suit a more realistic game but the one thing I just can't tolerate is the damned lack of fouls.
So my question is, mainly aimed toward CPU players who can customize damn near anything, does lowering player balance attribute and raising aggression lead to more fouls being called? Also are there any other attributes that altering would help with?
