When do we find out more specifics about the new Be A Pro?

The new Be A Pro. The one that if you sim to your next shift as a D-Man, the guys leave is own zone and come to bench. That mode?

NHL 14 will be about EASHL, HUT and GM Connected. The rest is irrelevant.

I wouldn't say that if that wasn't the way it as been for 4 years now.

On the positive side, this mode was a great addition to the game, but every year something as made it, to be honest I won't say impossible to play, but very hard to enjoy without making house rules to counter the little annoying things that are there. The lack of effort on that mode since it's not online and draw no money as make it "irrelevant" for EA from my point of view.

when BAP was first introduced, i was so excited to play it. sure, many things that were needed to improve at that time. NOW...skeptic. Wonderful mode to have...but EA FAILED, IMHO, that they did not address past issues. BECAUSE BAP, as well as BeGM offline will not make them additional income.

Yeah unfortunately, the money makers for EA have been in most of their online content and game modes.

As you guys have stated above, EA has FAILED at making Be-A-Pro an enjoyable experience. As you guys have also stated, their focus in year's past has not been on this offline game mode because it doesn't help their bottom line, BUT I fully believe that if this mode is implemented right, it will be a featured mode, that indeed does make significant profit.

Look at NBA My Player mode for example. I'm sure when 2K first introduced that mode in NBA 2k10, they're expectations weren't that high in terms of customer satisfaction. Sure it was a nice new feature, but wouldn't compete with franchise mode, and other online mode the game has to offer. 2K stated before NBA 2K11 that My Player Mode was the most played game mode, and now you look how they have this mode set up? In order to become great in the game mode, you have to play ridiculous amounts of hours OR buy the VC which cost real money every time you do so.

If EA implements this new "Live the Life" mode correctly, they could be heading down the same path 2K did, and this will indeed be a profitable mode.

That being said, I love these games modes and have been asking for this since BE A PRO initially was placed in the game (look at my comment here http://www.operationsports.com/forum...se-date-4.html). I can't wait to here what they have in store with this "Live the Life" mode.

My fear is that other than live the life I don't think EA has much else to tell us about NHL14. That is why I think they have not had much else to say. Although they have more time to tell us. But it seems like the other sports are releasing more info all the time but the NHL series is Soooo slow on giving us more info. We need our hockey fix now more know than ever given that the hockey season is over.

I don't think you guys have paid attention to this board... Most of the complaints are for the OFFLINE modes. and EA has made from what I read the most improvement on these areas. I for one and offline only as online offers not a real hockey game experience.. Too many goals and no defense.. BORING!!! EASHL and HUT are a waste of time and money...

I cannot wait for LIVE THE LIFE and GM changes..
