3pt Shooting should have 4 different ratings

NBA 2K 13 is by far the worst input in the franchise when it comes to the 3 point shot. I understand there are good shooters in the league but in the 2k world these good shooters are Reggie Miller / Ray Allen status which should never be the case..

A guy like Steve Novak is a great shooter but hes only great WIDE OPEN...

His rating should come down to this .... 3PT Wide Open - 95 ... 3PT Contested 70 ... 3PT OTD - 75/80ish (Off the Screen maybe????)

Leaning contested shots and 3s should hardly ever drop and should only go in for players who actually shoot leaning 3s = bad shot makers .... Both Crawfords,, Kobe ,, Steph etc

Keith Bogans can drop 30 + on this game way too easy because he has 1> 3 rating

I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. If anything is the problem, it's that the AI sags too often on 3-pt shooters, even in on-ball defense, and the 3pt ratings are too high in general.

This game does not need more player ratings. As it is, there are several mechanisms that influence 3PT success: 3PT Rating, Shot Timing, Distance, Spacing, Hot Spots, Consistency, Hot Streaks/Cold Hand, and a number of Sig Skills like Deadeye, Microwave, Spot Up Shooter, Shot Creator, Anti-Freeze, Closer to name what comes to mind.

Saying this game needs to add more ratings is just stupid.

This is the point of signature skills ie: Spot up Shooter and Deadeye. There is also a rating for shoot off of the dribble. Leaning threes are another story. Slider adjustments and difficulty level adjustments are some things you should probably experiment with. They do work with regard to shooting.

i play online only so slider adjustments is an after thought.

Sig skills should just be wiped out completely.
It use to be where you have to know how a player actually plays to play effectively. The "Sig skills" were user or cpu controlled if said players ratings fit the skill

By using 4 different 3 ratings (sigs out) you control your own hot streak,cold streak with good shot selection

Take it like this ... Years ago there was actually an option to play on an Arcade game mode > fadeaway/leaning 3s dropping.. unstoppable dunk animations.. no punishment for bad play...
it was the default game mode for blacktop but could be used for exhibition, seasons, etc

Now in this years installment it seems that mode is already implemented in the game

Contested 3s drop wayyyy too much Novak in real life never makes those buckets thats a shot Paul Pierce and kobe make

A guy like Derek Fisher drills shots like that also. I just think at least make a separate rating for Contested jumpers and wide open.... its 2 different type of shots

Steve Novak feels like a god in this game. Especially when you encounter your typical Knicks player online haha.
