"Reached maximum injured players..."

So, I tried manually injuring a player, but the game said something about too many injured players already (only four or five on the MLB roster and one I think in the minors).

It said the team had reached the maximum of injured players allowed/not enough players on the roster.

Strangely, it only occurred if I tried to injure a player on the Major League roster. If I tried injuring a minor leaguer, it opened the injury options.

I have no idea what that means. I have a full roster (using OFSM roster to start the season) and had many more injured players earlier in the season. Anyone know what this means and/or how to fix it?

Thanks.

Re: "Reached maximum injured players..."

There is an in-game cap on how many players can be on the DL at one time in the MLB, there isn't a work-around way to go about this as far as I know.

I think there is somewhat of a workaround, but if you're doing a long-term franchise, this may not be the best option.

If you have a player in MLB, and they have a very long injury duration (6+ months or something along those lines), remove the injury temporarily, send them down to Class A, and then reinjure them. That will free up another spot on the MLB. That's the only way to work around it. Hope that helps a little.

Thanks. Seems a little silly to have a cap on injuries...

It is to keep all playable levels....playable!
Too many players out(esp. pitchers)....and you can't field a team.

So, at some point is your team unable to suffer injuries with injuries on (not manual)?

Sure...it's always been like that.
With only a 90 player organization......how would YOU keep the game from having an invalid playing level?

I just never heard this and it seems odd that you can stop having even normally generated injuries at some point.

I'm not saying I have a better solution (other than allowing you to cut injured players maybe...), just that it was news to me.
