Best Starting Five to Fit Your Style?

If you were going to assemble a starting five of NBA players that best fits your style of play, what would it look like?

My starting five would be...

PG - Stephen Curry - I play an odd style of offense that primarily utilizes my point guard as a spot-up shooter. Curry is the perfect point guard to play off the ball and can easily transition to running the offense if I wanted him to.

SG - James Harden - Because my shooting guard needs to handle the ball and ignite the offense, Harden is a perfect fit. I love his ability to drive the lane, dish, or shoot the three. Harden has excellent passing ability for an off guard and fits perfectly alongside Curry.

SF - Shane Battier - Defensive stopper who murders opponents with corner threes? Yes, please. Battier's gritty style compliments my overwhelmingly offensive team, and helps space the floor for Harden and Curry to drive and kick.

PF - Kevin Love - My style of offense requires a stretch 4, and Kevin Love is the perfect stretch four. Though I'm sure many will disagree, in my opinion he's a top 5 player in the NBA and provides exactly what I want from a power forward. Floor spacing, touch, range, and exceptional rebounding.

C - DeMarcus Cousins - When the threes aren't falling for my team, I need a center who can work the post. Being surrounded by three point specialists gives Cousins plenty of space to work. He crashes the offensive glass at a high rate, which is exactly what I want from my center. His offensive versatility gives him a slight advantage over Joakim Noah, who may be a better fit in real life, but in 2K13 Cousins edges him out.

Re: Best Starting Five to Fit Your Style?

I'm a defensive/post oriented person(huge surprise if you look at my avatar)

PG: Avery Bradley: 2nd Best Peremiter Defender in the NBA plus is lethal from the corner.
SG: Tony Allen: Best Peremiter Defender in the NBA plus is a very very underrated rebounder
SF: Kawhi Leonard/Jimmy Butler: Both are Good Defenders, Rebounders, Snipers from the corners, and Athletic
PF: Greg Monroe: Underrated passer from the post and is a future monster in the post
C: Hakeem Olajuwon: Best center of all time. Good rebounder, Mid-range threat, all-time leader in blocks, Top-10 in steals, and tied with McHale as the greatest offensive threat in the post of all-time

Sixth man: Krilenko
Bench: Andre Miller, Joel Pryzbella, Courtney Lee, Speights, Randy Foye, and Evan Turner

Hmmm, I will need to review rosters, but my game is all about open mid-range jumpers.

I need everyone with at least an 80 midrange.

Steph I could live with but LA got a pretty darn good shot and is really deadly once you got him going.

To each his own.

Re: Best Starting Five to Fit Your Style?

PG - Rajon Rondo: Defensive stopper who can guard opponents' PG or SG. Great at running the fastbreak. Fantastic at penetrating and then finishing at the rim or kicking out to an open man.

SG - Steph Curry: Curry will knock down every open 3 Rondo generates. He can also create his own offense when necessary.

SF - Paul George: For pretty much the same reasons as Rondo. Great defender with a varied offensive game (only George can also hit the 3).

PF - Tim Duncan: Part one of my two twin-towers in the post. They can block, rebound, and power their way around the post on offense. Some teams might be able to stop one of them, but no team will be able to stop them both.

C - Dwight Howard: See above.

Not the most realistic team, but it would be unstoppable.
