I am terrible at NBA 2K12

I picked up 2k12 for like $15 the other day. Im pretty good at FIFA and Madden, but had never played an NBA video game before. I was really excited to pick it up, build a team, tinker with cap/trades etc.

Problem is, I **** suck. My offense has no rhythm, its just drive and pass out. No motion, can't get open, nothing. Just passing it around.

I have no idea what to do. Do youtube tutorials help, or am I hopeless? Is it supposed to be hard?

I advice you to lower difficulty, then go to coaching options and set "run plays" and "playvision" on. Practise them on mode that you prefer. Youtube also can help. You just must be smart with the ball, and think what you wanna do
