Well this will be a coaching association, meaning I'm only controlling mike brown and his coaching stuff, not the whole team.

Cavs win draft lottery; get 1st pick

NEW YORK -- Nick Gilbert and the Cleveland Cavaliers have beaten the NBA lottery odds again. The Cavaliers won the lottery for the second time in three years Tuesday, giving them the No. 1 pick for the June 27 draft.

Gilbert, owner Dan Gilbert's bowtie-wearing 16-year-old son, was on stage for another victory. After he won it in 2011, the Cavs used the pick to take eventual Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving.
"Kyrie is a hell of a player ... but this also felt almost as good," Nick Gilbert said. "That was the first time. This is the second time, but man does it feel good to get the first pick this last time. Get that last player to give us a push."
The Orlando Magic fell back one spot to No. 2, while the Washington Wizards vaulted from the No. 8 spot to third.
Ten years after winning the lottery that landed them LeBron James, the Cavaliers picked up another opportunity to help speed up the rebuilding process since his departure to Miami in 2010.
The potential No. 1 pick this year, Kentucky freshman Nerlens Noel, is no James. But he could be a nice addition for the Cavs once he's recovered from a torn ACL -- if they keep the pick. They also have Nos. 19, 31 and 33 for new coach Mike Brown, who they rehired after firing Byron Scott following a 24-58 season.

Q&A with Mike Brown -

Reporter: How do you think of this team?
MB: Man, this team changed ALOT since I left, it's amazing.

Reporter: How do you think of the Cavs rebuilding?
MB: You know, it's a tough task, but I think we can get through it and even make the playoffs this year, or next year.

Reporter: Do you want Ben McLemore or Nerlens Noel?
MB: I really want McLemore, but we already have a SG Dion Waiters, so Noels can be the capable center.

Reporter: What do you think of Anderson Varejao now and then?
MB: Then, he was developing. Now, he is a really good rebounder. The problem is that he gets injured too much.

Reporter: How much does Kyrie Irving mean to you?
MB: Oh man, he means alot! I'd never trade him even if he was 40 years old. That kid has talent. He's more valuable to me more than LeBron.

Reporter: Do you think LeBron will come back to your Cavaliers?
MB: I don't think so, because Heat will most likely keep him forever. It would be funny to see LeBron back in Cleve, they'd be all booing or cheering him, it'd be ironic.

Report: Cavs agree to sign Darius Morris, Darius Johnson-Odom, and Samardo Samuels.



Cleveland, Ohio - Mike Brown has agreed to come to the Cavs for 5 years. What's next? They signed Darius Morris and DJO, whom those players were familiar with Mike Brown on the Lakers. And Samuels is coming back to Cleveland for a reunion with a Cavs. Darius Morris said, " I'm happy to play for Mike Brown once again, and I think I'll get more playing time here since this team is rebuilding." DJO said, "I haven't been on the Lakers squad much, but I already knew Mike Brown in that short period of time, and it's nice to have him back." Daniel Gibson and Anderson Varejao are the only players whom Mike Brown coached the Cavs before he got fired in 2010.
