Virayutth's 2K13 Draft Class

Hi Guys,
I rarely post on this site but would like to share my draft class I created.
In all honesty, I spent quite some time on this and I know it needs more work.
I have created 60+ draftees with realistic faces and stats.
I don't usually say this but I highly suggest using this draft class regardless of the work needed to be done still. I will still be updating from time to time and keeping you all updated.

I still need to do most of the accessories, sig skills, tendencies, hotspots and signatures. I may have done some for the top tier draftees but other than that I know that they all need work.

Top Five Players @ Each Position

C

1. Cody Zeller - 71
2. Alex Len - 70
3. Mason Plumlee - 69
4. Kelly Olynyk - 69
5. Steven Adams - 66
PF

2. Anthony Bennett - 73
3. Tony Mitchell - 67
4. Andre Roberson - 66
5. Lucas Noguiera - 66
SF
1. Otto Porter - 74
2. Shabazz Muhammed - 73
3. Dario Saric - 68
4. Solomon Hill - 67
5.
Giannis Adetokoubo - 67
SG
1. Ben McLemore - 75
2. Victor Oladipo - 71
3. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - 68
4. Archie Goodwin - 67

if you dont want to spend the extra hours creating the full 80 prospect list just use someones draft class as a base and edit theirs ^^ *trust me it saves a lot of time*

Re: Virayutth's 2K13 Draft Class

I haven't seen your draft classes but i have 3 suggestions

1.) Don't overestimate the athletic ratings.

Not every pg has 90+ speed and quickness, and not every center has 75 plus strength. I see draft classes where everyone has inflated ratings because shooting guards all have 90 speed, 90 vert, 80 hustle and 85 durability. If a guy like Noel or Len or Bennett isn't able to do workouts now because of injuries they had in college, don't give them an 85 injury rating.

2.)Don't be afraid to give someone a really bad rating at something.

Don't inflate stuff like shooting or on ball defense or ball handling just because. If a center is a slow stiff make him a slow If a guard can't shoot, then make him unable to shoot. If he's a streaky shooter don't give him a high shooting rating, give him a high consistency rating and the microwave skill and he'll start knocking down jumpers if he gets hot. The point is you can be creative with tendencies and ratings to get a more realistic result.

3.) To create a realistic draft class, as a general rule older guys who are closer to being a finished product should have higher ratings and lower potentials, while younger guys should have lower ratings and higher potentials. A guy like Giannis Adetokoubo should have a really low rating but a high potential.

I've been experimenting with draft classes, and have seen some interesting drafts where really low rated guys with high potential go in the lottery and guys like Olynyk slide in the late first round/ early second.

4.) Create specialists. When i see created draft classes alot of time i see very little differntiation between players that play the same position. Create guy with very unique individual skills like shooters who are not athletic, or big men that are very good rebounders but bad shot blockers, and vice versa. Buy making guys the next Tyson Chandler, or Udonis Haslem, or Kirk Heinrich, that's how you get realistic classes, because you're much more likely to see these guys than you are to see a Lebron or Durant.

5.)Don't give them shoes that don't change color.

That's pretty much all i can think of now, but i am looking forward to your class either way.

Honestly these are some of the best suggestions i have ever seen for a draft class.

Thanks for the advice bro but I been on the same page as you. Go take a quick look at mine but like I said I know they need work but your right on the money with what you just said. For example I have Steven Adams rated low at 66 but with "high" potential. As for people like Miles Plumlee, he has a rating of 68 and low potential.

Like bedwardsroy19 rosters, I tried to rate them 65+. 65 being the default rating and nothing lower.
