Am I the only one concerned with Player Equipment?

The color setup on the gloves for most team (especially New York Rangers' gloves, not a single glove is realistic) are completely wrong. The selection of helmets are so weak (Bauer 4500, Easton S7, and Reebok 5-7k haven't been in the games since NHL 10 and are the most used helmets in the NHL besides CCM V10 and Bauer 9900). The sticks are only correct for lefties, right handers sticks are backwards (Bauer Vapor stick in particular), plus they are missing Easton RS stick which is quite popular in the NHL.

I understand that hockey equipment companies want their new products in the game for exposure of new gear, but EA has to look for realism, and until this fixed then, to me, the EA NHL games will never seem realistic at all.

You probably are. Out of all the hockey I have ever watched, I can't tell you a single thing about anyones gloves except that they are wearing them.

They've got too many gameplay flaws they're working on to deal with all of this. It seems so easy to us to see but they've got a lot more things going on behind closed doors than perfecting gloves.

I'm a gear whore in real life, but i couldn't care less what gear the players in the game use and if it's authentic or not.

I don't care either. During gameplay it's hard to pay attention to whose gloves are wrong or whatever...

I care but quite honestly, there are so many other issues with the game that bother me that I could give a crap right now. Truthfully I think we are lucky just to have real equipment in the game.

Btw you can edit glove color for your players in the game.
