simming half innings is definitely off

Just thought I would throw this out there as an observation. I decided to play a game and simmed the first 3 half innings that I was pitching (just wanted to hit). By the 4th my pitcher had given up 6 runs on 11 hits yet had only thrown 16 pitches. Even so 11 hits total and 9 outs, lets say a double play to end each inning he still had to throw more than 16 pitches.

The odd pitch count when your team is siming pitching has been an issue for as long as I can remember in this series. It'd be nice it they'd fix it, but I don't have a problem just ignoring it.

I agree it seems like 75% of the time I sim by half innings my pitcher gives up a couple of runs.

Simming during games is messed up for A LOT of sports games. Madden and NCAA being the main culprits. Guess you can add The Show to that list too.

This is why I refuse to use this feature.

My advice to you is to play more games. It will even out.
I am 70 games into my season having simmed the pitching in every game and have an ERA under 4.00...sometimes you give up 9, sometimes 0, 1 or 2..it's working out fine for me.

Did you press circle to complete, or did you watch it happen. I rarely hit circle to complete and I don't see short pitch counts.

For me it's ridiculously high pitch counts and almost no stamina depletion. They will throw 110-120 pitches in six innings and still have half their stamina... I've had to stop using this feature.

the worst part is you can be up 4-0 and you dont feel like playing 3 innings so you sim til the 8th then when its done you are losing 6-4. Simming in game does not work well at all. I was winning one game 7-1 in the 4th so i simmed to the six and the CPU got 4 then 3 innings, i just reset the game in disgust
