Mid-Season Player Regression

I am in June of 2013 in a Yankees franchise and Youkilis, Rivera, A-Rod, Pettitte and others are -4 across the board on their attributes. I get that they're old but is this normal?

yes it's normal in the game, really old guys like Mo, Pettitte, Ichiro, Jeter or Kuroda with high ratings at the beginning of season 1 will lose more than 15 points of their overall by the end of the season. Youkilis shouldn't lose as much, he is still too young.

I don't think stats and record matter much.

Re: Mid-Season Player Regression

Player regression is a bit overdone this year. It has nothing to do with performance only age. At age 35 and beyond you'll see drastic regression

Regression impacts performance. Just as in real life as skills deteriorate so does performance.

Yeah just like R.A. Dickey last year with a cy young at 37. David Ortiz was a constant last year. By the end of the year David Ortiz shouldn't be a 70 overall

Im glad it is in their and by no means will it ever be perfect but it feels overdone maybe they should get a worse threw out the year but then the cpu takes into account at the end of the season their number and hit them more based on that? I dunno just a thought
