15 pitch at bats

What can I do to not have my pitcher throw 20+ pitches every inning?
The cpu seem to foul of everything and take all pitches outside.
My SP is usually exhausted after 5 innings.

I sometimes have the same thing. I've lowered the CPU Foul Frequency slider to 0 for starters. See if that helps.

I think I have it at 3 and had 1 ab where the CPU fouled off 8 pitches.

CPU foul slider does nothing. There's waaaaaaaaay too many fouls. Pitch counts way too high early because of this. This needs to be changed.

I don't see any of these problems. Perhaps you are attempting too many strikeouts.

I'm also curious to see how one would define "too may fouls" or "too many pitches per inning."

I'd be curious to see what the CPU's take % is on average for the people who have issues with this. It's supposed to be around 53% on average for each team in a normal game. (in-game strategy guide) If it's in the low 40's or something, you might be throwing too many strikes, either because of over-aggression or the pitching interface/difficulty being too easy to paint the corners with.

And while we're on the subject, 18% should be the average foul percentage.

I have these affairs quite often, although I'm thinking I should be fouling the ball off more IMO. I think my pitch count was pretty good for an average game or what have you, but compared to the CPU, I think maybe I should have fared better?

I'm only showing this game because I have a picture of it, but I have had worse discrepancies.
