No hitter thread 2013

Pitching is a lot more difficult this time around. Harder to paint the corners, more movement on pitches.

I had a perfect game going into the 8th and it was broken up by a weak single by Adam Jones. I was pitching with Mat Latos. Went 9 innings 1 hit 0 walks 19 strike outs. SO close

Re: No hitter thread 2013

I threw a no hitter online in Diamond Dynasty. Not quite the same thing as against the CPU, but the player had a 4-5 record at the time, so he wasn't completely terrible obviously.

I've thrown two 2 hitters so far in Show '13;
one with R.A. Dickey, & one with King Felix.
I just can't quite get over the hump.

Re: No hitter thread 2013

Out of the thousands of probable games I've played in baseball games since the first MLB The Show....and heck, any baseball game for that matter...I've only ever thrown one No-Hitter.

It was last years game during my Cubs Franchise. I pitched a No-No with Matt Garza against the Brewers in an early Spring game on the road. It would have been a Perfect Game, but someone made an error in the second inning. Then, he pulled a Johan Santana and sucked for the next six games or so and ended up hurt for the rest of the year not long after.

And then, the very next game, Jeff Samardzija struck out 17 batters in a single game. Which is also my personal best.

Re: No hitter thread 2013

I had a no hitter into the 9th inning with one out gave up a single past my third baseman. It would have been a combined no hitter if I were successful.

I threw a two hitter with Ubaldo Jimenez. Took the perfecto into the sixth and the one hitter into the ninth.

Re: No hitter thread 2013

I just threw my first no HITTER. It was so exciting. I don't get too nervous with video games, because...well, they are just video games. But my hands were sweating. It was awesome.

I pitched with Mat Latos. 9ip H:0 R:0 ER:0 BB:8 SO:16

I know that's sloppy with the eight walks, But it took me 144 pitches to get through the game. I actually started the game with a 24 pitch first. After like 95 pitches I had a hard time keeping control. I don't see that I got a trophy for it. Not that I really care, I don't pay attention to any trophies I get on any game really.

I played the Atlanta braves online. The guy pitched me well, played good defense, worked a lot of deep counts, so it didn't seem like he was terrible.

I threw 42 4sfb 28 sliders 31 cutters 33 curve balls 10 2sfb. So I wasn't one of these throw the same pitch every time guys, I mixed up my pitches, tried to stay on the corners. Awesome game.

Edit: Oh btw you can't throw a no hitter without great defense. Uggla hit a ground ball by a diving BP( he missed catching it by around two feet, wasn't a pay on it, i just dove anyways and i scooped it up with Bruce and threw out Uggla by a step. It was cool because last year that happened all the time, but this year they either get pulled off the base or aren't close to the base to begin with. That was in the second inning, I almost forgot about it. I saved the play on my ps3 haha

2nd Edit: Looked the guy up. He's 5-10 online with a .265average and a 4.33era. So i didn't exactly no hit someone good, but, no one else had no hit him.
